Clean Stream Plug Quality Control Issue

In the last couple of years the best inflatable enema plug on the market, the Cleanstream Inflatable Enema Plug, has begun to show some quality control issues. Some of them seem to quickly develop problems with the joint at the base separating. Amazon's declining rating of the product further confirms this problem. My best guess is a change in the bonding agent or with the procedure they use for attaching the two pieces. I have unfortunately experienced the problem personally. The base first begins to bulge where the adhesive is starting to separate, then over the next few uses that bulge expands and moves closer and closer to the edge of the seal. Until... POP! Then the solution the plug was holding in place is no longer held in place.

Unfortunately there is no better inflatable option on the US market that I am aware of,(please reach out of you know of something equivalent or better) so this is something I've decided I needed to find a workaround for.

After some research I found this Sil-Poxy Adhesive is one of the most recommended for the difficult task of bonding silicone to silicone. I cleaned the two surfaces with some rubbing alcohol and let them dry. Then I spread a thin layer of the Sil-Poxy across the two surfaces and gently clamped with set of these clamps. I left them clamped overnight and thus far the repaired plug has survived for over two years of at least twice weekly use.
